chipping S40-V40 2000

Let us know how that works out - getting it chipped. Has anyone else out there tried it??

I might do that some day after the warranty expires if driveability and gas mileage are not impacted too much. I've seen web sites for aftermerket chip sellers that claim to do everything from improving HP/torque to increasing gas mileage, to making Julianne fries so to speak. I know you can't do both. More power requires more gas. Besides I'm a bit sceptical on chipping. I can't see Volvo, or any manufacturer, putting their resources into product developement and not end up with a well-tuned chip that would be difficult to top.

If this works well please let us know.

Good Luck
