Window Switch Fix? 850

Why would you want to suppress the contacts with a cap? The power window motors are a much more resistive load than an ignition coil and they are not switched hundreds of times per minute. They should last forever. Also, there are a lot of contacts in that switch assembly. Do you want to suppress them all?

I think that the common failure mode is from crud and not arcing. That switch assembly is in a vulnerable place. It's a vehicle design issue not electrical.
