So I see that you've decided on a low-pressure turbo after all... Good choice!! Now you're narrowing down the options 2001 vs 99... Hhhmmmmm....... Well, you're one step closer!! I can't really help you on this particular matter, but I'm sure Yiannis can!! This guy knows just about everything when it comes to make and model... You might try to email him directly through the board... Just look for a post by yiannis and click on the envelope next to his name.
