Simply.....NO REPROGRAMMING! ANY Year in US 850 1995

Trust me on this, I've researched it before after seeing mention of it here many months ago, and it doesn't matter what year 850 or with/without ECC vs MCC......No 850 sold in the US can be programmed for adding a pollen filter. No US 850 ever had a pollen filter installed by Volvo as a standard feature, the filter was later added on after all the Evap issues began and was then an afterthought. I've installed many pollen filter kits on many 850s, never once did anything but put the filter in, never have seen ONE problem or complaint about airflow, codes, nothing (no problems).
There have been a few false rumors floating around this board for years and this has been one of them. Just a "heads up" :)
