Front End Air Dam Dislodged V70-XC70 1998

For the fourth time my wife has successfully dislodged the underbelly air dam by pulling over a concrete parking barrier. The lip catches and pulls and/or rips the plastic. I've successfully rebuilt it a number of times with stainless steel sheet stock, rivets and a ball peen hammer. Any ideas (other than changing wife's parking pattern) on preventing this in the future. Anyone else experiencing similar problem?
