Power seat problem on 95 850 GLT Memory does not Work

1995 850 GLT Wagon

Drivers power seat works with individual position controls, but does not work when you select one of the memory buttons. It had been working correctly last week. Then one day these buttons stoped working. I have tried reprograming them, but this did not help.

Any suggestion on what the problem might be? If it is the control unit, is there any way to find out without having to hook to a scan tool?
