For Steve, about that pesky EGR controller... 850 1995

Consider this a continuation of our previous EGR discussion. I put my car back together, and I'm sending the EGR valve back. Thanks to your comments, I'm now looking at the EGR controller. I checked all hoses connected to it and they appear fine.

Should the EGR controller always make a clicking sound, or should it only make a clicking sound some of the time. Mine is making a clicking sound only some of the time, and when it does, the engine rpm's increase a bit. What do you think about that? Does this sound normal or is there a problem? Honestly, I can't remember if it ever made any noise previous to my dismantling experiment of the last 2 days.

I thank you for any help with this.

Kevin
