Need help with tips on buying 850

I think you might want to stay away from the 94 due to transmission problems in the 93-94 model years. 95 and up are ok. Also have the AC systems checked and find out if the evaporator has ever been replaced. If it has that’s great, if it hasn't it will need to eventually depending on your mileage and it is an expensive repair. Have the car checked out buy a good Volvo specialized mechanic to see what needs attention (rear main seal, and ball joints are another common repair) . These are great cars but they are not cheap to repair so any repairs that need doing will help you in negotiating a good price.

By the way I have an 850 Turbo Wagon for sale if you are in the Toronto area.

Good luck

Steve
