I need some 17" tire recommendations 850

I have a 97 855 R with the 17" Volan rims. Tire Size 205/45/17

Currently I am running Yokohama A520 tires (205/45/17). The grip is great but the tire noise is killing me. It sounds like I am in a 4x4 with mud tires. OK maybe not that bad but still.... I just bought the car last year and now it's time to replace the tires. I'm NOT buying the A520's again!!! I am also thinking of maybe buying 215/45/17's instead of the 205's since I understand they will fit the R models.

What are you running and how do you like them?
How's the noise? Grip? Wear? What would you buy?
