1993 Location 850 1995

My car is a 1993 but it might be the same. Mine is located on the firewall where the clutch petal push rod goes through. I believe it's held by one nut and one bolt... the fluid hose is held on by a simple hose clamp. (another way to find the master cylinder is to follow the braded hose from the brake master cylinder) It was a very easy job done in under an hour.. bleeding takes patience. The Haynes manual for the escort is one of the best things you can buy if you are going to keep the car. Using mine for referance I have replaced almost everything on the car saving thousands and kept it running like it's brand new and doesn't even burn a drop of oil (knock on wood)Oh yea.. they can last 228,000 miles original engine and transmission... not bad for a throw away car.
