Tire selection question... 850 1999

I've moved from Kumho Ecstas to the Michelin Pilot Sports on 17" wheels on my 850R and the Kumhos are definitely less grippy and also give a much harsher ride.

Both these characteristics will be even more apparent on 18" rims; cheap tyres are the falsest of false economies as they're the only thing keeping you on the road.

And since the C70 already has a pitiful turning circle, I'd avoid wider than standard rubber or you won't be able to go round corners at all!
