Sway Bar Bushings 850 1993

Well, its time to replace the sway bar bushings again on my '93. I recognized the slowly increasing klunking over small bumps in the road and a shake of the bar reveals about 1/4" looseness. It seems to be about a once a year ritual, perhaps because of all the local-road driving I do. I'm wondering if anybody has found a better solution than the stock bushings. Perhaps a polyurethane version, coat the stock ones with anti-seize, wrap the bar with teflon tape? I realize the stock ones are only $25 a pair but I'm ready to try something new this year. Also, maybe I'm the only one that gets only a year from these bushings. I'd like to know if everyone else gets a few years before replacement on their '92/'93's.
Thanks,
