Considering crossing over- 850 1994

I'm currently the happy owner of an '88 745Ti who just found a few well priced 855 to test drive. I am also stubbornly against automatics. This seems to rule out T5 wagons.

I've been rummaging around the FWD list for a few days and found some interesting links- one is to a supplier that sells a turbo kit to the tune of 3 grand. Any news good or bad about this? I'd rather buy a car with the turbo from the factory, but aside from importing that looks to be out of the question. For that sort of cash I'm wondering why you wouldn't buy a wrecked T5 auto car and swap the motor over - but then that's the RWD guy in me...

So anyhow, I'm off to look at a '94 855 5 speed at the end of the week. Any words of wisdom?

Thanks-
Dylan
