Trunk lock mechanism on 2000 S40 S40-V40

I've got a problem with the trunk lock release mechanism on a 2000 S40; it only releases with the key turned to the left- when the central locking system is actuated and unlocked, the solenoid works and turns the nylon disk, but there's apparently something broken or disconnected, because it doesn't turn the other nylon release disk to enable the button to actuate the trunk release.

I took some pictures of the mechanism in the link below- Are the nylon parts available separately, or is it only sold as an assembly?
Considering the use of nylon rather than metal, I'd like to think they're considered consumable items and would be available without buying the whole lock assembly...

Thanks for the help!
