Leaking oil in '97 850 Wagon. 850 1997

Hi, I'm new to forum and perplexed. I own a 97 850 wagon that has had an oil leak for about 2 months. Our Trusted Mechanic (TM) has tried everything, it seems. Originally, he thought it was tranny leak, so fix some seals. Still leaking, then he noticied oil leak, but in order to get to seals, which he believed to be leaking, he had to take the transmission out, which he did and replaced all the seals. Guess what still leaking. I have no idea what to do. My TM is not a Volvo dealership, but has been great with all of cars over the last 10 years. I think he is perplexed as well. Anyone out there had similar problems or have any ideas for him or me? I'm so frustrated, I'm about ready to trade it in, but it only has 67,000 miles. HELP please. Thanks in advance, Chris
