Check engine light, code socket A2 232 850 1995

I have a 95 850 Turbo as well, and had the same problem back in '99. I got some great advice on this board, and was able to solve the problem quickly. 232 is fuel trim out of range, I also noticed a little rough idle, which indicated a vacuum leak. There are a bunch of little rubber elbows used all over the engine, they get soft and fail, causing a vacuum leak and a 232 code. The one that went bad for me was behind the power steering pump, on the end of the intake manifold (kind hard to see and get to). It was only a couple of bucks to get a new one, but an adventure to install (get some LONG (8"-10") needle nose pliers with offset loops at the ends). You can use Gumout(?) to find the bad hose - spray on the hoses and elbows w/ the engine running; when you find a bad one, the engine will stumble or stall.

Good Luck!
