Playing burned CDs S70 1998

Just joined this forum. I have a 98 S70 and have also experiened same the problems playing CD-R discs in my stock player (sc-816).

I've tried various brands of discs and methods. So after trying numerous brands with different "write methods" and "write speeds" I found that either Maxell CD-R PRO or Ricoh Platinum seem most compatible. The session has to be closed and the cd left open along with using a 4x writespeed. The disc also has to be burned as an audio recording. Not sure why this works but after spending countless frustrating hours and money on discs, I'm just glad I can finally play my burned discs.

Other brands may also possibly work if you can't find these particular brands in your area. Good luck.
