Can't get Child seats to Fit... Help! 850 1996

My wife is due to drop next week and we've just found out that the front seat belt on the passenger side of my 850R seems very short and virtually all of the infant car seats we can find (rear facing for newborn) don't seem to fit. Am I missing a trick? is it possible to get extenders or longer seat belts? Be grateful of any swift help.
