Are you sure it is oil build up? If you are getting oil build up there and you have a NA car, I'd be worried. If it is just varnishes and gums and other things like that, just use a catalytic convertor and O2 sensor friendly throttle body and intake system cleaner. I like Kleen-Flo, BG, and GM upper intake cleaner. All three have their own procedures and accompanying deployment systems.
