static on radio caused when depressing brake 850 1996

Hi, I am new to the brickboard and this is my first try at asking a question. My wife and I just purchased a 1996 850GLT from a used volvo dealer here in R.I. A problem i just discovered is that when I am driving with the radio and air conditioner and headlights on and then step on the brake the bulb failure warning light comes on and then off very quickly and the radio gets all static while the brake is depressed. Then everything is ok when I release the brake pedal. Has anybody ever experienced this before? Would you have any advive on tracking the cause? Also does anyone have any other things I should look over on the car. It has 120,000 miles and the timing belt is due at 140,000 miles. The car was well maintained. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks Chris
