alternator problem? 850

Thanks for the input. I just had it tested on board at my local alternator shop. They did a load test and all signs point to an alternator issue.
I'm going to have to take it out to get it bench tested to see if it is a bad diode or regulator.
I've removed alternators from other foreign makes, but not this particular volvo. Are the any tips, tricks or things to watch out for? Any special tools needed?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
