Found the problem 850 1996

It turns out the idle air control valve (looks like an aluminum cylinder with two hoses and an electrical connection - bolted on the throttle body) is bad. It was buzzing loudly - I rapped on it a couple times and it quieted down and the car started/idled with no problems. I am getting a new one: $72 from the dealer. I figure if it does it once it will do it again.
