OBD II Code Mystery 850 1997

Mike,
The service light is nothing more then an idiot light that is set to specific mileage as a reminder for maintenance, it can also be set to engine time or real time if desired. The service lamp has nothing to do with the check engine lamp and is nothing more then a coincidence. Regarding the check engine lamp, any fault ( some of which don't store codes ) that would effect the emissions spec of the car will trigger the check engine lamp to come on...
