Clutch Replacement 850

I have a 98 S70T5M with a screechy metalic noise when the clutch is
let out. Mostly in 1st but sometimes you can hear it in 2nd. I can
"feather" the clutch to reduce or prevent it.

Does this sound like the problem you had? I'm wondering how long I
can live with it (in other words, is the throw-out bearing going to
still have 90% life or does this mean 40%, etc.). Tough question, but
if you have any ideas (or your old parts that gave a clue) then please
let me know.
