Automatic transmission problems 850 1994

I flushed the fluid, and so far the transmission works great! I told the customer that it may be temporary, or it may go for a long time. He thought $150 was better than a new or used transmission. I had the luxury of a transmission flush machine to use, so the job went well. The flashing arrow was due to my hitting the winter mode switch. Another customer of ours has the same car, and he said when the winter mode switch is pushed, the arrow on the dash flashes, and the transmission will start out in 3rd gear to reduce spinning on snow and ice, and prevent downshifting when the gas pedal is floored. As I get more customers with Volvos in, I will learn these things. Thanks to all the quick responses! Bob
