Clutch Replacement 850

If all you're wanting to do this for is because of noise as the bearing or fork moves, try spraying Wd-40 (or similar) into the bellhousing through the forks boot (it might take a few tries and alot of spraying but......). I've heard that noise before with a few older 850s and the WD-40 trick worked. If you get the disc with it, it might slip a bit but will soon burn off.
Believe it or not, those clutch discs last a very long time. I've seen at least one so far with over 225K miles, original clutch parts. I have yet to replace a FWD clutch disc due to wear.
