FWD vs RWD S80

I can recommend S80 M/Y 2001 or 2002, which have much lower failure rates than M/Y 1999. However, if you would like to take a smaller risk, and in return have a great car for a very resonable price, then go for M/Y 2000.

One other car that is popular and have almost the same equipment and comfort as S80, is the newer S60. That car is built mostly using the same components as the S80. Failures rates are low and it is a great and secure car to own.
