Check Engine light V70-XC70

My problem with the system was solved by replacing the control valve, it was not closing, but my pump was OK. However, I haven't found how the ECU knows the pump is running and the valve opens. The only element that I can think of is oxygen sensor that could confirm the presence of excess air during the initial two minutes after cold start. Also, did you check if the valve opens when it gets vacuum? The pump may run but if the valve doesn't open you'll get faults. BTW, if the pump was running why did you replace it?
Good luck.
