Squeaky Passenger Side Air Vent Actuator ( Electronic Temp Control) V70-XC70 1998

My '98 V70 AWD had similar trouble and I recently brought it to the dealer. Since you had blinking lights (recirc and A/C I bet), there was a code stored in the OBDII system. I needed a new actuator motor. It was covered by my extended warranty (WarrantyGold-Diamond type) and took three days to fix. It would have been about $100 for the motor and 1.5+ hours for labor. Only the glove box had to be removed. It works fine now!
