V70 Reliability (thanks in advance, brickboard has a great group of users) V70-XC70

Im sure this is a common post. However buying a new car is a big deal for me, so here goes. By the way I am currently driving a 91 740 wagon with 175,000 miles on it.

I am in the market for a late model, used volvo wagon (ideally a T5 or an R). I have seen soem ABS module issues, electrical issues, and general quality issues. I have done well with my 91 and want to do well with my next volvo.

I know that Volvos are not Hondas, but thats what I like about them. In general, what would be the year and model to get to have the most reliable volvo wagon that will let me do the IPD upgrades to the higher horsepower range?

Any items to be especially carefull about? Any help is appreciated. Keep up the good posts.
