3' vs. 2.5' Downpipe Performance 850 1996

If anybody has information or has installed one of these downpipes please tell me because I have received conflicting information. Do you really lose torque off the line with the 3" pipe? Does anyone know companies that provide them? I have a 96 R with an upgraded chip and an open air intake filter. I also may want to upgrade the turbo when the warranty expires. Thank You In Advance.
