turbo needle stuck & won't hold charge 850 1995

the car was running fine--sat for a day or two, went to start & dead (some dash lights, but no radio) so I jumped it and got it running. While driving around to charge I noticed the turbo need stuck in the middle instead of falling to the left where it normally is. I went to start the car this morning and it won't start again. The car ran fine until then, no problem starting or with the turbo. I haven't gone out to do the daignostic yet, but does anyone have any ideas? The car has 179,000 miles on it and still going strong.
