Replace shift selector bulb on 1999 V70 automatic. V70-XC70 1999

Marty - Do a search, there have been several good posts on this subject within the last three months or so.

I did mine twice. Pull the change holder, take the piece out of the console stowage area, put the emergency brake on, put the car in drive, and pull out the small cover in front of the emergency brake handle. Remove fastners found.

The console pulls up without forcing it. If it is difficult to move, something is still attached. It is easier if somone else holds the console up while you change the bulb

By the way, there are two different bulbs, get the right one if you don't want to do the job twice like I did!
