buying advise 850 1997

Go with your gut feeling. It will never let you down. Avoiding the title work means something is going to be ugly. I bought a used vehicle with the same situation. It took the guy a month to get me a title and then he gave me some excuse that he didn't have one. What a mess. The vehicle had a lot of problems. I finally got a clean title after some work. Never again.

It also sounds like the car has been in an accident (door doesn't line up)(paint doesn't look good).

I have a 97 R sedan which is in perfect condition. My suggestion: Look elsewhere for an R. He is feeding you a line and a too good to be true price.
