Hitch for Convertible C70 2000

I know hitches are popular, but not as popular on C70 or C70 Convertible. I need the best knowledge of list w/ regard to best manufacturer and whether I can get one which does not require any bumper cover trimming or if possible even any drilling, for that matter on a C70 Conv.

If you've used a Volvo hitch, please let me know any problems. I'm so new to hitches that I don't know if 2" or 1 7/8 is more popular ball size and what size rise is necessary (both depend on application). I believe I'm looking for a Class II hitch.

Volvo parts appear to be hitch ($253) + Ball/Draw Bar combo. ($62) + Wiring Kit ($89) + some "plug" ($17 - what's this?) + anywhere from 2-4 hrs labor ($180 - $360) = $781 Whoa!

I understand a European wiring kit is better/easier through NAPA parts than via Volvo. I hit zero in archive for C70 vs. XC or wagon, but one person's experience on Web said Volvo hitch was way off-kilter and needed to be refunded. Any thoughts on hitch, ball, draw bar or wiring are appreciated.
