Electiric door locks lock, but do not unlock? S70 1998

I have a 1998 S70 and when I was letting someone in the passenger side door with the electric locks they pulled up on the handle and from that time on the door does not unlock with the electric locks. Somewhere along the line the same thing happened to the driver's door locks and now they do not unlock electronically. They do, however, lock electronically. I'm tired of using the key to open the drivers door and getting inside to open the passenger door manually! Can anyone tell me how this happened and if it is hard to fix yourself?
