My engine sounds like its farting 850

I know this sounds strange, however when I put my foot on the gas, just barely above idle, I hear this horrible farting/vibrating noise. I looked under the hood and it looks to be coming from my belts. I reved it by hand and it looks as though the main belt is vibrating just a hair off idle before the slack is taken up. Does anyone else have the same problem, or does anyone know if this is the cause of my engine noise? Thanks for the info.

Also, does anyone know how to change and EGR valve? Thanks
