2001 leftover S40-V40 2001

I am looking at a 2001 leftover,new not a demo/loaner,with the primary option being the sunroof and audio pkg for $23,300...does that sound reasonable? an s40 with the leather seats/winter pkg is $24,100...do you think either price can go lower? the s40 compared to passat,honda just seems more comfortable/better ride...thats one opinion...of course there is a new mazda protege es for a lot less...
