Black Sludge coming from my block. EGR Valve??? 850

Thanks to MARKA for the idea with the belt tensioner.

I've got a thick black fluid coming out of my engine. The part is located just underneath what I think is the air pump, that is connected to the tower that has all sorts of air tubes connected to it. I think it might be the EGR valve. There's a thick black sludge that seems to be dripping from it. Does anyone know if I'm correct? Is this the EGR valve? Its about the same size as a Tim Hortons Timbit, for all us Canucks. Its connecting to the block, and has two tubes running from it to the the top of the electic fan. Any info would be appreciated!!!
