Buying New Tires This Weekend - Comments?

Nathan -

I have a '97 850R wagon with a set of 215/45/17 (rather than 205/45/17)Sumitomos HTRZII...smooth ride. They provide an exceptional ride with an aggressive stance. Under hard cornering, the R will outperform the tires a little, but at least for me this is rare. I would much rather have that trade-off than run on rocks for 20K miles.

I love these tires and will get a set for my wife's miata. If you do want the best, its easy to spend more for performance. As for me, I'd rather put that $$$ somewhere else and enjoy the balance I have. Best of all, I should expect about 30k of wear. All for about $450. Not bad.
