Can't answer the rain-x q but there is a solution to the chattering. Takes about a minute. You will need a cresent wrench. Adjust the wrench for a snug fit on the flat part of the arm near the blade adapter. If they chatter on the uostroke, bend the arm slightly clockwise. (standing on drivers side, faceing car. If chatter on downstroke, bend the other way. Doesn't take much. The aim is to get 90 degree angle for blade to glass.
