leather wear V70-XC70

The warranty probably excludes "normal wear and tear". However there are many more variables involved in manufacturing the leather than with other seating sufaces. If your car is less than 12 months old, you should expect warranty coverage. Some have had luck with the beige/tan leather steering wheel wear problem, right up to 4 years/50,000 miles. I was out of luck with that one, though. Over on the mileage. The bottom line is, yes, I think you should expect them to fix this, and if your dealer balks, ask them to have the zone rep look at the car when he/she visits. They might ask if you wear abrasive clothing, like blue jeans. Or they might not.
