major oil leak....need advice fast!! 850 1994

I use my car (standard 850 wagon) only on weekends. Last weekend I noticed the "check oil" light and the engine sounded real rough. I checked the oil and it was way low. I put in 2 quarts and it seemed Ok. I have driven about 1900 miles since the last oil/filter change in late january.

This weekend I saw a big leak coming out from under the car- I can see it drip if I watch long enough. It's dripping from an area just inside of where the oil filter sticks down (sorry, I don't know all the terminology).

I read other threads on this site about leaks coming from bad main seals and problems with flame trap. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. I sure hope it's not the main.
