Don't assume ANYTHING until you have done a thorough inspection of any and all items pertaining to the problem. I have learned this. Have you checked the condition of the brake rotors? Also, are you certain the wheels are perfectly balanced, and are they in good condition? Is it possible that you could have a warped wheel? What type of vibration is it? Is it in the steering column or is it generally in the front of the car? Is it a constant vibration or does it resonate every so many seconds?

There are many things to consider. Make sure you know.
