Oil Question 850 1994

Hi ya J,

Does sound very strange. I use full synthetic myself and it does not use one pennies worth of oil, well none far anyway.

I must admit if i do a lot of townie driving the oil doesn't last behind say 5k miles when it looks like coffee. I would first persevere again flush the oil through. If you can drop the pan out and see if there is any junk on the pan left, that would help in identifing the problem.

Not being a mechanic myself ust self taught, if you have done this and get no where i think its abit more serious dollar wise.

If you can not detect any oil leakage and no blue smoke from burning then i would get the engine looked at, either dealer or independant.
