With the new Alpine CD changer models, which ones fit the head unit? 850 1996

Greetings,

It's time to put an Alpine changer in my '96 Turbo Wagon. I don't know offhand which model radio I have, but it's the AM/FM cassette with changer controls, and I have the factory cable installed already. Is it safe to assume that any of the Alpine models with the DIN port are going to work? I acquired an older (say 8 years?) Alpine changer, hooked it up & found the changer was defective although it tried to work (ie: read the discs, received & ejected magazine, etc).

The Alpine model CHM-S630 mentions mini-bus compatibility, and the model CHA-S634 mentions ai-NET compatibility.

So, which one do I want, or what compatibility feature am I looking for?

(PS, I checked archives & was not able to find these model numbers.)

As always, thanks for your help.
