I appreciate your detailed response. I'll have the codes read and finds out where that leaves me. Good to be for-armed with your information.

I, too, and building up a list of issues with questionable component engineering on these cars. Mine started with the ABS module going out just after the warranty period expired. That fix was to the tune of $500 with labor. Also have a faulty door sensor failing, abs wheel sensor failed and headlight bulbs that burn out periodically. All very annoying.
