Oil Changing questions 850 1995

DO NOT GET UNDER THE CAR SUPPORTED BY A JACK!

Wal Mart has Rhino Ramps for $26. They're yellow plastic and about 3' long and raise the car about 8". I bought a pair and they're perfect.

Also, you'll need an aluminum crush washer for the drain plug which is torqued to 26ft/lbs.

If you're going to run a bottle of injector cleaner in the gas do it before you change oil. Any ring blow-by will allow this stuff into your new Mobil 1.

Before installing the new oil filter I fill it with oil.

A cheap upgrade that may or may not any measureable performance on turbos is moving the horns. I'll do mine for the heck of it. (Actually, I want a pair of Hella air horns.) Essentially you're removing an airflow obstruction through the A/C condensor/intercooler/radiator. The idea is more air through the intercooler = more power. How much? Dunno. Seems it would depend on the ambient air temp, the temp of the compressed air and the efficiency of the intercooler.

Have fun!
