Replacing starter. 850

I've worked on my EGR system, which required removing the starter, so I can help you on this. It's not TOO bad, I mean not hard on you, just a bit troublesome. You must remove the fan shroud. This means removing all the valves, switches, and hoses that are above the fan. Basically, 4 bolts is all there is holding it in. You must release the tabs from under the car, then the tricky part is working it around the idle-air control valve and all its hoses. once it is out, you can remove the starter. Take off the cover over the wiring connections, then undo the connections (unhook the battery first of all!!!). Then there are only two bolts holding it on, but the bottom bolt will be a bugger to get out and in because of the wiring harness right up against it. As the Haynes manual would say, "installation is the reverse of removal". I hope I haven't left anything out. :)
