Memory Seats in a T-5R 850 1995

Hello all,
My memory seats seem to have stopped functioning. When I press any of the buttons on either the drivers side or passengers side, and all I get is the click of a relay somewhere in the dashboard. The seats move correctly if you push the directional buttons, but either setting the memory, or the recall doesn't seem to work at all. Am I doing something stupid, (do they only work when in park with your foot on the brake?), or is there something else I should troubleshoot? Does anybody have any ideas?
